In Speed Estimator Pro, you choose to build standards using any of four data sources. Use your own standard data elements, or the program's pre-defined motions, tool use elements, or pre-calculated "macro" elements.

Speed Estimator Pro uses data elements and synthesized standard data which can be applied to the majority of common manufacturing work elements to produce accurate standards in a fraction of the time needed for detailed time study or application of other higher-order systems. The program is inexpensive, fast, and user friendly. There are no complex systems or mnemonics to learn, no classes or study programs to complete, no certifications. You can quickly access and use pre-synthesized times for tool use sequences, "macro" motion groupings, or build a study from scratch. Predetermined times for Get and Place, Place, Foot, Finger, Eye Focus, and Body Movements (including automatic calculation of walking time based on your input of number of paces).
Synthesized elemental times for numerous common Tool Use Sequences. Use these elements for small tool or fixturing operations done at the workstation.
"Macro" elements for common tasks, such as getting and placing tools, disposing of parts, clerical activities, materials handling, and others.
User-defined elements which can incorporate your existing standard data or estimates. Input any number of predefined elements into the program. Add more, edit, or delete as needed.
Complete review and editing control of elemental times and process descriptions.
User-selected values for Personal, Fatigue, and Delay and an "Adder" allowance to anticipate design growth and estimating contingencies. Change and re-apply default allowances at any time.
A new built-in stopwatch function which counts up in hours, minutes, seconds, and hundredths. Use it to estimate hand motions or other events you simulate at the office desk.
Insert user-defined Process Times at any point in the analysis.
Insert blank lines to accommodate any number of job elements to be defined later.
Information about the operation and workplace can be entered into a new header data area and saved with the elemental and summary times.
The user can create new files, save and edit existing studies, or delete old files.
Study data is saved in text format, readily copied to other programs. Studies can be edited with a word processor or spreadsheet program, if desired.
Summary times are displayed in TMU, seconds, and minutes.
Summary standard hours are displayed as Hours Each, /100, or /1000.
A new "Work Measurement Tips" screen, containing scores of ideas on work measurement tools and techniques.

In total, Speed Estimator Pro offers almost 80 predetermined elemental times for common tool use and motion groupings, plus the ability to quickly define and assign a normal time to virtually any combination of movement at the sitting or standing workplace. If you can't find a suitable pre-programmed macro or tool use element, simply construct it using the appropriate motion patterns or add your own standard data elements or time study results to the program. Elements of any kind can be intermixed as needed.
